Hi, I have a blog using wp-custom-fields-search which seems to work just fine. I only have one problem with it and that is the way the widget displays.

Here is a screen capture https://postimage.org/image/o3oadjf35/

You can see the search widget “Search Species Database” and underneath it “Recent News”. Recent News is displayed correctly, but the Search widget is not, so I suspect I need to edit the div class. Also, technically the Recent News is supposed to be on the second sidebar to the right.

If anyone could help me with editing the widget files, that would be much appreciated. Thanks!

I figured it out on my own.

The file to edit is wp-custom-fields-search-form.php.

Incidentally, if anyone is having troubles, the last div, <div class='searchform-controls'> is missing its </div> so that might help anyone who is having widget display problems.

    Hi

I am looking at the file
    wp-custom-fields-search-form.php.

I’m rubbish at PHP – and the widget looks terrible – the options don’t fit and are scrunched up (tho’ it works)

DO I need to change a style sheet

Did you try to re-order the output – I need it displayed alphabetic

My search form isn’t returning any results. It simply loads my homepage again. Can anyone help? I haven’t altered the code any. Am I supposed to?

Did you add the custom fields to your posts?
Did you define them to the widget?

    Solved this
