[Plugin: WP-DBManager] Backup file is 20b if gzipped and contains 0kb sql file

Discovered the other day that my db backups no longer work from wp dbmanager. I’m running 3.0.4 and the behavior is that I get an error when when trying to backup without gzipping the backup stating the resulting file was 0kb. If I choose to gzip the backup I get no errors, but the gzip that results is 20kb according to the interface and when I download the file and extract the archive the sql file inside is 0kb.

I have tried upgrading to 3.0.5 and issue remains. I know this worked with 3.0.3.
