• I’ve got an install of wordpress on IIS on one in-house server (web.myserver.com), and the database is living on a separate box (data.myserver.com). I can’t figure out how to configure wp-db-manager’s “Path to MySQL” in this scenario (every other site I’ve done has been shared hosting).

    The auto-detect of “C:/Program Files/MySQL/MySQL Server 5.1/bin/mysql.exe” doesn’t work, as that points internally to the box wordpress is installed on.

    My server admin suggested

    \\data.myserver.com\MySqlBin\mysqldump.exe

    and I’ve tried all sorts of variants…

    data.myserver.com\MySqlBin\mysqldump.exe
    //data.myserver.com/MySqlBin/mysqldump.exe

    anyone have any clue how to work in a multi-box windows environment?
