[Plugin: WP Download Codes] Downloads stop @ 45mb, no matter how large

  • For whatever reason, I can’t download anything more than 45 mb’s of anything with this plugin… I had a file that was 117 mb, and it stops at 45… Then I buffed it down to 50.3 mb’s (as small as it can go) and it still won’t let me go past 45mb’s…

    Now, I CAN type the url to the file directly into my browser and get the full download… However, this kind of defeats the purpose of this plug in…

    Please tell me I’m missing something very obvious and can fix it yesterday…

  • Stop using WP Super Cache and W3 Total Cache and use these two instead:

    DB Cache Reloaded
    and
    Hyper Cache

    Once I did that, my downloads started to work properly.

    You really should put that in the FAQ. Super cache and W3 Total Cache seem to be the most used. I also had this annoying problem too. Temporarily turning cache off helped and will change to one of those other two very soon.

    Misanthrop, have you run any tests to see if Download Codes 2.1 works with WordPress 3.3.1? I want to keep my client updated, but I don’t want to run the risk of this stopping working. It’s really helped them out, and I’d hate to lose this functionality, only to gain new WP functionality.
