• Hello,

Thank you for a fantastic plugin! I have been using it with a Vinyl release and it has been great for about a year. I generated 600 codes and eveything was working until a couple months ago. I have been trying to figure out what happened and I think I am very close.

One day I noticed that all my releases and downloads codes were gone in the settings of the WP Download Codes. I went and tried to enter my codes and it would work, it would even display the link to the album. But when I clicked on it it would go nowhere, actually it would take me to the Home page with a long Lease ID in the URl.

So I then checked Settings again and noticed that the direcory wasnt the correct one with the album files in it. I selected the correct folder and clicked save, then all the download codes and the releases all came back! I thought this fixed it. BUT When I tried to punch in a DL Code, the same thing happens as above. Which again the code is accepted, the link is displayed, but the link just refreshes the home page and has a long URL with a lease id.

I have tried a couple things, tried the absolute path on the server (this makes a new error about line 95 or something in the DC_template), tried disabling any plugins that I installed since the problem started happening, and also tried on other browsers and been logged out of the control panel. Sadly all just do the same thing.

Do you have any suggestions? I would really love to get my codes back up and working.

Thanks so much for making such a great plugin!!

Even with the many hints you have provided, it is not possible for me to provide a diagnose for this kind of problem. First of all, I would go to your phpMyAdmin area and backup all wp_dc_* tables, because these tables would contain your codes. Just to make sure not to lose your codes.

The other thing might be related to a plug-in you have installed (some caching plug-in maybe?) or something your host has changed on the server.

    Thanks for the reply!

So I do have a database backup with all the codes, I also have them in a Excel file.

I havent added any new plugins, cache or otherwise.

So how about me uninstalling, and reinstalling the plugin? How do I go about just importing the codes only and not any other structure? Can I import the Excel/csv file?

If I can do that then I will go ahead and reinstall everything.

Thanks and I really appreciate it!
