I believe the plugin automatically remembers user information after they’re logged in (address, etc.) If you’re using the new Authorize.Net module and have CIM available on your account, it should remember their billing info as well.

I’d like to belive in that too, but it works diffrent way on my test site.

It keeps data from a previous/last user in checkout form and basket widget. No matter if You are registered or not.

Maybe there is a way to add custom fields in user registration form, like address (is this what CIM is for?) which are visible in User Profile, and then synchronize wp e-commerce with those data, so when user logs in, he gets checkout form filled with his data. But as I was looking for this solution on forum I found several threads where people were saying, that WPEC has not such a functionality.

If you are a registered user on the site, it definitely remembers your info from any previous orders (or simply previously creating an account) when you log in.

I have seen issues where the information persists in the fields after a user logs out (just for that session) – but that doesn’t sound like what you’re talking about.

When I end the session as a User1 – close browser – open it again – log in as User2, there are all the data for this registered user in checkout.

Maybe You know how to solve another small issue – checkout form fields.

They are pre-filled with field name for example:

<br> First Name

I don’t know how to get rid of that br tag.

Right, the situation you describe with user1 and user2 (new session, user2 logs in, has their own data pre-populated) is what I would expect.

We’re re-evaluating the entire checkout process for the next major release, so hopefully most of these pain points will be alleviated.

I’ve never actually seen the HTML break tag in the form fields – that’s a new one to me – I’d guess some jQuery or other behavioral logic in your theme may be causing that.

I’ve noticed that recently, too.

(The <br> First Name, etc.)

It’s not his theme that is breaking it – unless Twenty Eleven does the same thing. It’s consistant across themes I’ve activated.

Oh! For me, it appears to be the “Shortcodes Ultimate” plugin that adds the garbage in my wpsc forms.

That’s good. I don’t know what exactly worked for me. I was fixing other problems, left it for some time and when I came back the br stuff wasn’t there.

Maybe it was also some plugin conflict – plugin update thing.

Goendul – disable ALL of your other plugins to see if it gets rid of the problem. If it does, it’s a plugin conflict.

Slowly turn your most-needed plugins back on until it breaks. For me, it was the Shortcodes Ultimate plugin that broke it, so I don’t use that plugin on sites that use WP eCommerce.

(If disabling all your other plugins doesn’t get rid of it, it may be your theme. Switch to Twenty Eleven or Twenty Ten to see if it gets rid of the problem.)
