[Plugin: WP Editor] Comparison with Advanced Code Editor

    Thanks for your comments. I am aware of the Advanced Code Editor plugin and the reason I would continue to maintain the WP Editor plugin is simple: WP Editor is better. If you compare the two plugins side by side, the capabilities of WP Editor outshine those of Advanced Code Editor.

    I wrote this plugin to capitalize on some weaknesses in the default WordPress theme and plugin editor which Advanced Code Editor does not fix. (Ajax file browser, file upload, and image preview to name a few).

    WP Editor is less popular, that is true, but my hope is to continue to make the plugin more powerful and more successful.

    Would be great to see exactly this comparison somewhere.

    I think this would also help make the plugin more popular, showing how it’s better than the more popular alternatives.

    An FAQ was added in the latest update of WP Editor.

    WP Editor shows all the files/folders in the plugin, while ACE only shows the the first folder. I wish their was an ‘UNDO’ feature. That is what is really needed (like Synchi).
