WP 3.4, just updated. I only have 8 plugins on the site, they are all content generators and a backup app. fairly vanilla. Its running on Apache/FreeBSD/PHP 5 something.

WP-Editor is the version on WP.org and claims to be 1.0.2

    installed;
go to editor page (theme or plugin)
whatever the default page is loads and draws correctly.

Click on another file in the browser,
page redraws with what looks like the builtin editor, no highlighting. File is fully editable and behaves normally, saves correctly.

strangely if you right click on the link of the filename you want to edit and open it in a new window that file opens in the editor highlighted.

I’m still learning WP but I assume there is a hook calling the WP-Editor that is getting skipped when the page is redrawn without a load?

This is not time critical to me at all.

    Brig,

Can you provide a screenshot of the editor? WP Editor uses Ajax to load up the pages and should not work the way you described. Are you in the default WordPress editor still or are you inside the new WP Editor? The menu option on the page will say ‘Editor’ for the default and ‘Theme Editor’ or ‘Plugin Editor’ for the WP Editor itself.

    Benjamin,

It is possible that I had javascript disabled, I will double check tonight. It is my first choice, if there is a kink I’ll help you work it out.

    Brig,

Were you able to get this resolved?

    Benjamin,

Sorry, I’ve been busy on an unrelated project.

I did make sure JS was working, it was, I just installed off of wp.org (1.0.2) onto a different site and I still have the same problem. This site is WP Release, with the official addthis widget, and EZPZ backup – nothing else but wp editor. I”m using Firefox 11 (ubuntu canonical 1.0)

I have screenshots if you have somewhere to send them, I can’t find any sharing links or contact info on your wp-editor site ??

    Brig,

It would be great if you could send screenshots. Just fill out the support form on wpeditor.net/support and I will reply. Then you can attach the screenshots to that email. Thanks!
