wp editor prevents inclusion of images while editing posts in the admin UI.
When wp editor is active, adding images from upload or gallery results in a blank thickbox hovering over the editor (after succesfully selecting an image from upload or media). Disabling wp-editor restores full functionality.

Confirmed on two different live server/wp sites.

What version of WP Editor are you using? This should have been fixed in 1.1.0.1. Can you try clearing your cache and see if that makes a difference?

Yup, I have the same problem, and I only installed the plugin for the first time today. I have the latest version of WordPress too. When clicking “Insert” on the image, the image window just goes completely blank.

Please fix this asap because its an awesome plugin apart from that!

    Cheers,

    Chris.

    pixelkicks,

Can you provide me with some stats for your site? WordPress version? WPEditor Version? Other plugins installed?

If you want, you can fill out the support form at https://wpeditor.net/support

    Hi Benjamin,

    WordPress version: Very latest, 3.4.1
WPEditor version: Very latest, 1.1.01 (only downloaded yesterday)

Yes I have a few other plugins, namely:

    All in One SEO Pack
    Breadcrumb NavXT
    Contact Form 7
    Disqus Comment System
    NextGen Gallery
    Really simple Facebook Twitter share
    TinyMCE Advanced
    Ultimate Google Analytics
    Watermark RELOADED Pro
    WP Jump Menu

Your plugin works flawlessly apart from the inserting of images. Out of the plugsins above, “Watermark Reloaded” and “TinyMCE” are the only ones that affect the actual post/page editor, but I have tried disabling both of them individually and the problem still occurs.

    Chris.

PS. I’m using WordPress on a Windows 2008 R2 server, IIS7, if that makes any difference.

Occassionally in the past there have been issues with certain WordPress setups on Windows against Linux.

Further to this, I’ve just tried the plugin on another site which is hosted on a Linux server, and the problem still occurs, so this is not the issue.

    pixelkicks,

You mentioned disabling the plugins individually. Have you tried disabling all plugins to see if this makes a difference?

Do you have any errors in your console?

I’ve not tried disabling all plugins as the site is a busy, live site.

But I’ve just checked the Chrome console and got this:

Uncaught Error: NOT_FOUND_ERR: DOM Exception 8
    CodeMirror.fromTextArea.instance.toTextArea
    window.send_to_editor
    (anonymous function)

    Code lines below:

    codemirror.js:1920
    codemirror.js:1920
    posts-jquery.js:224
    media-upload.php:4

    Ben,

I’m afraid it may get more disturbing. Just wrote a lengthy post forgetting I had wp editor activated.

Of course as soon as I saw the blank thickbox I knew … darn … save/published the post .. deactivated wp-editor, went back to my post to add the images I wanted in the first place, only to find my entire post to be empty !
Post save was accepted (otherwise a popup also warns about not having saved the post), but somehow it did not save content.

(I agree this is a very particular chain of events, but something is not right with wp-editor).

    pixelkicks and wpprogrammeurs.nl,

I have just release an update for WP Editor (1.1.0.2) that should resolve the blank thickbox issue. Can you upgrade and see if it now works for you?

    (@wordpressprogrammeursnl)

blank thickbox issue seems te be fixed (preliminary testing),

but …. now I can no longer copy / paste texts. CTRL + A does not work, neither does holding the left mouse button to select a section of code.

(I understand, believe me, I understand … a programmer’s work is never done ! Love the plugin so will go back to an older version for now as I don’t seem to recall having had problems with wp editor before)

    wpprogrammeurs.nl,

I have fixed the text selection issue in the new version of WP Editor. Can you upgrade to 1.1.0.3 and see if this issue is resolved?

    Hi,

I’ve tried the latest version and the image problem is solved. Pleased to see there is an option to set the height.

One thing though, if I go to “Theme Editor” the height is set to the new value, but when I click another file the height resets to what it was!

    Appreciate the fast updates Benjamin.

    Chris,

I am able to duplicate that as well. I will try to provide a fix for this soon. Thanks!

All problems with thickbox and text selections seem to have been solved with 1.1.0.3. — thank you much for this great plugin.

out of curiosity : Why does the plugin not kick in as editor for the super-admin User interface in a multi-site ? (Don’t fix what isn’t broken though).
