yeah that’s a feature.. read the change log. gives the option – was pretty desired feature.

I see an option to “use the Default Image for everything instead of looking for featured/content images” but not an option to not use the default image at all. I am getting both the thumbnail and the default image and I see no option to use only the thumbnail if both exist. Am I missing something?

Well you can opt not to have a default image, and that would solve your problem. But adding in an option to ignore the default in a specific scenario is more than we want to add. We’re trying to keep it as simple as possible.

Great stuff this plugin, just a bit confusing with the default image. I have not set force fallback image, yet when I post a link in facebook, the first image it selects is the default image (although I can select another one). This is because the default image is the last og:image in the document. Would it not be best to set the default image as the first og:image in the document? That would mean that Facebook prioritizes the article image (or the last og:image in the document).

After all, if I don’t want to force default image, would it not mean that I prefer to have an article image display?

Facebook doesn’t say how it pulls images nor the order in which they prioritize them. If i changed it for a push they’d probably display them another way anyways.
