[Plugin: WP-FacebookConnect] Refreshes 2 times after log in?

  • Hi, thanks for the plugin…it works great! There is just one little issue. Everytime I log in for some reason it refreshes two times.

    When I log in my username and avatar is displayed, then 1 second later the page refreshes automaticcaly and it shows like if I’m logged out.

    But if i refresh manually the third time it says i’m logged in.

    Any idea what It can be?

  • I think this is an issue with the javascripts in Firefox – I’ve had exactly the same problem applying the plugin on a development installation of WP 2.7 and yet the behaviour is as you’d expect it be under IE7, Safari 3 and Google Chrome (in Windows Vista).

    Opera 9.5 seems to have an issue with the FB markup, and therefore does not display anything related to FBC. I would try this in the latest version, but this wonderful browsers AutoUpdate feature always fails to download the updates…

    Aside from this it is a fantastic plugin, and for our site will be particularly useful as it will help provide a unified login system across both our content site, and also on our forums once FB Connect is introduced with IPB 3. Great work!

    Oh, ok. That is what I was thinking as well, because in it only happens in Firefox. In Safari it actually works smooth. Hopefully Firefox will fix this issue soon.

    I agree, this is a fanstastic plugin, can’t wait for more great features to be added!

    I have the same problem, but it doesn’t show me logged in on the third reload. I click the connect button, enter my login info, submit and it reloads the page once showing me logged in, then reloads again showing me logged out. No further reloads fix the problem.

    Oddly enough, this only happens on my Mac. The PC version of Firefox seems to work fine. Maybe they fixed the PC version and the Mac version is still broken? Anybody have any ideas?
