[Plugin: WP-Filebase Download Manager] Change URL for documents uploaded

How can I change the URLs for documents uploaded via filebase to a shorter name as currently it uses the filename uploaded?
Eg %20 etc in the file names … I just want short filenames so as to link into newsletters.
