[Plugin: WP-Filebase] very temperamental

  • i wanted to like this plugin so much, and i spent allot of time fixing a few little bugs that i was capable of fixing and spending too much time customizing templates. in the end however, it seems very BROKEN! looks like it badly needs updating. using permalinks is frustrating nightmare with filebase – somehow it even breaks page links in specific cases.

    clicking the catagory links with permalinks enabled: 404 in certain cases

    trying to download a file with permalinks: 404 always

    enabling permalink compatibility: useless

    resync: useless

    resyncing filebase on one occasion taged 2 files as not found and then doubled the number of files to 4 – 2 not found and 2 ok – couldn’t d/l any of them!

    i GIVE UP!!!

    shame too, because this looks like it could be the best of the file managers. you can tell allot of thought went into this, though i thing having to switch between 2 config pages is annoying

    I’m sorry for keeping your waiting for the new update so long. Try it out, changed & fixed so much. Of course the latest version is never free of bugs, but I should have some time now to react on your feeedback.

    fabifott – i though you had given up on this plugin. it’s good to hear you’re still developing it!
