  • Hi

I’ve added this plugin to both of my business websites:

    https://www.seekerphoto.co.uk
    https://www.seekernews.co.uk

The installation to one of them went smoothly and only took a few minutes, whilst the other installation hit a problem.

The guys at Inbox were able to login to my blog, work out what the problem was (I had the wrong version of PHP) and tell me how to fix the snag in a very short timeframe.

Very impressed with the plugin and even more so with the support I got from Inbox – thanks!

Thanks for the kind words Steve. Let us know if anything else comes up!

Hi, firstly, thanks for writing this plugin.

I am having a problem getting the plugin functioning though. Here are the steps I have taken:

    1. Install a fresh copy of WordPress 2.9.2 on a server running PHP 5.2.6.
    2. Install WP Highrise, and drop the default form tag into the homepage, running the default (Kubrick) theme.
    3. Configure WP Highrise with API token etc. This appears to work and I get all of my categories listed in the settings screen as you would expect.
    4. Attempt to submit the form. This reloads the homepage with no indication of whether the form was successfully submitted. On checking Highrise, no new contact has been added.

I have tried this on two different local machines (one running MAMP on OSX another running Apache/PHP/MySQL on Windows) and two hosted servers (Web Faction and 1&1). Sometimes I get the following error:

Warning: simplexml_load_string() [function.simplexml-load-string]: Entity: line 1: parser error : Start tag expected, '<' not found in *path_to_wordpress*/wp-content/plugins/wp-highrise-contact/highrise/Me.php on line 35

Warning: simplexml_load_string() [function.simplexml-load-string]: HTTP Basic: Access denied. in *path_to_wordpress*/wp-content/plugins/wp-highrise-contact/highrise/Me.php on line 35

    Warning: simplexml_load_string() [function.simplexml-load-string]: ^ in *path_to_wordpress*/wp-content/plugins/wp-highrise-contact/highrise/Me.php on line 35

…but not always and the behaviour on the form is the same regardless.

Any help with this would be very much appreciated!

    Hi mrappleton,

When you edit the plugin settings, do you see a red message just before Highrise Connection ?

    Let me know !

Nope, It all looks to be connected properly. Here’s a screenshot:https://floatleft.com/images/screen.jpeg

Getting DOUBLE entries and now QUADRUPLE entries when people use this form to submit info to me. Any ideas on how to fix it? LOVE this plug in – did a video on it for YouTube already
