• As the web-invoice plugin no longer seems to be under active development, I am looking at your plugin for my website, however after a very brief test I already have noticed a wash-list of items that need to be fixed before this plugin becomes usable.

What’s all wrong with your WP-Invoice?

    • 100% USA focused. Do you even realize that the world is more than the USA alone? Did you know that only 37% of all downloads of WordPress are of the English package and all the rest is a localized version?
Therefore not including the country, having only 1 address line and missing an international notation of the telephone number already make this plugin completely useless.
    • why would there not be an easy way to add other currencies? Yeah, of course I can hack your plugin to add that, but there should be an easy way built in to add (and delete) currencies.
    • so I have received a partial payment, how does that show on the invoice for the client? Adjustment? Really? Are you kidding or what? Since when has a partial payment become an adjustment? An adjustment is made by the admin, a partial payment is done by the client! Why not call it that what it is? “Paid”, “Advanced Payment”, “Partially Paid”, “Already Received”, “Received”, etc would all be good options.
    • in the overview why is the client called the recipient? Recipient of what? Services? But you are an invoice plugin, remember?

Well this is a short sum up of some shortcomings, I am sure there will be lots more, but it is a start.

That you charge a fee for the additional PDF functionality is fine with me, I am willing to pay. But you first need to fix the basic plugin before I hand over any cash!

    DivaVocals,

I will spend more time on this. I’ll let you know if I get some news.

Great to hear.. Hope this will be resolved, not just soon, but resolved altogether.. because for me and probably MANY others who use the quote feature (which I paid for but CANNOT USE) this plugin is useless to me if I cannot send out quotes that my clients can’t read because your plugin chooses to limit the customer POV and truncates the invoice..

I am not asking for a refund for the quotes module, but if you cannot fix this, then I think I will have to do just that.. I’ve been UNABLE to use this plugin and I absolutely DO NOT use this plugin at this time. I have had to go back to a different plugin — despite the fact that this plugin is no longer available in the WP repository. Available or not, this other plugin WORKS and does not truncate my quotes and invoices.. Sadly your plugin does not work well..

Hope you can change that.. Would LOVE to use this plugin instead..

Is there a solution to the character limit imposed on invoices?

    Hey everyone.

I think we have found the cause of “limit” you mentioned. I will notify here after we test that and you’ll be able to upgrade.

    Thanks for your patience.

Well that is good news indeed Anton!! Can’t wait to hear that this is finally resolved because I WANT to use this plugin.. I really do.. I purchased the Quote add-on for this plugin because I wanted to replace WP3 Invoice with this one, but I’ve NOT ONCE been able to use this plugin because of the “limit” I reported. I never asked for a refund for the quote add-on because I am waiting patiently for this plugin to get better so I CAN use it.. ??

With the exception of ONE client I can’t install this plugin for any other clients until this “limit” issue and a few others mentioned previously are all resolved.. (they are deal breaker issues for some of my clients)

Check your text. If it has the “&” symbol, then any text you have after that will not show. Try changing the “&” symbol to the word “and” then there character limit issue will be resolved. I had the same issue this solve it.
