all settings are at default settings. no changes
Can you tell me where you fixed the ? and & problem. Maybe we fixed two different places. I have no idea what i am doing so it is a lot of trial and error
You have to set at least “Set Login Type:” and “Set Login Page:” to have wp-login to work.
I tested BlogoLife 2.0 and WP-login is performed as expected, that is exactly as the original wp login plus the possibility to personalize the login page aspect and/or have the login form inside the theme.
The logout shoul be done using the admin bar, enabled by default on WP.
May be that you wants a *different* behavior and this plugin is not for you.
I’m not an expert in WP but I tried many different login plugins, so if you explains what do you want may be I can suggest you a better plugin choice.login type and login page are set.
i deactivated all other pluginsthe problem is still there
when i deactivate the wp login plugin, the default wp login works
tried several login plugins and this one should do the job if i can get the bugs worked out.
check your e-mail go the page and notice the difference between your browser status bar and mine when you hover over lost passwordok understand the problem. You are using default WP page, while I’m using a different ‘permalink’ setting /wp-admin/options-permalink.php
Of course it’s ok to use default wp pages, but most people set a different more friendly permalink.
That means that in your case the address of a page already contains a “?”, so you need to change the “?” in “&” probably almost everywhere in the plugin, but I have not further investigated jet.
I didn’t mind to test the plugin with default wp pages, sorry, my fault.let me know when you have looked at it and then i will re-activate the plugins and the blogolife theme and the original with the fixes i did and you will be able to see when the log out redirects you to the forum.
the redirect to the forum is really the only problem i’m concerned with at the moment
edit:
thats where i was just looking but with limited experince i haven’t changed the permalinks yetI can work on my site, now that I have understood the problem; but not now, may be tomorrow. I’ll keep you informed.
And try permalinks, they are really nice and you need no knowledge to do, WP will manage everything for you!ok i have changed everything back and almost all works but i am still redirected to the forum when i use any of the logout options.
must have something to do with the permalinks ?
I will try working with them.
thankshave a look at this too:

Was wondering if you be updating this plugin to work with default WP URLs (no permalinks). Seems to me that this is a necessary thing. Not EVERYONE uses permalinks (nor should they HAVE to).
Yes now the plugin should work with any type of permalinks, defaults included. If you test and found any error plese let me know: I’m planning to release it as an upgrade of the existing plugin, since it is impossible to contact the author to send him/her the fixes.

This is fantastic news.. So are these changes in the last version you sent me or did you make changes since you sent me those files??
As for the original author, he seems to have NO further interest in this plugin or fixing it.. Not trying to take anything away from Eric at all, but why should he get credit for the work YOU did in getting the plugin working correctly???
So good for you for submitting this as an update to the plugin.. After all you did all the hard work to get this working correctly.. It should Be YOU who gets the credit IMHO..
