• Help! I have installed and activated the plugin. When I send out a test email to myself I receive the following:

SMTP server error: 5.7.1 : Recipient address rejected: Access denied

…and, of course, there’s no E-mail in my inbox.

I am BRAND NEW to WordPress (just joined 2 days ago) so I’m sure that has something to do with it. Can anyone please dumb this down for me all the way so I can understand what I’m doing wrong? Thank you!

  • I to am BRAND NEW to WordPress an am getting the same error message when trying to send a test message from the plugin. I was just wondering if you found a solution to the month old post.

    Help me if you can.

knmcevoy and mannymonet, are you using two-step authentication for your email system. Is so, you will need to get an application password otherwise, it won’t work.

Run a test email from the settings page and copy the result output here. I might be able to help out.

Hi srumery – I have the same problem. It’s saying ‘Recipient address rejected: Access denied’.
This is what is output from the test:

    Test Message Sent

    The result was:

    bool(true)

I’m getting the same error report. Anyone able to assist with a fix?

^ Same thing for me on Dreamhost.
