[Plugin: WP Mibew] widgets drag and drop functionality would not work when the plugin is activated

As a temporary fix with widget functionality usage, disable the plugin then on the “screen options” enable accessibility mode; then enable the plugin back.

Nice catch. I have the same issue after with wordpress 3.4 as well. Thanks for the information werbyvillarino.

I tried everything for the URL https://www.mysite.com/ or the same with ../chat/ nothing is working. What am I missing? I watched the video and the laconic line: if it it does not work – if you don’t see the logo then your URL is wrong – good – so how do I find the right URL???

your chat page is missing from wordpress add a page and put the [wp-mibew] to it.

I entered [wp-mibew] to that page.

Then I went back to mibew settings – added exactly the URL of that page – click save – like a flash – the box appears with no image and then go away – frontend – no luck neither on the page itself where I installed the shortcode.

I can’t see the buttom, but anyways the plugin does not include the mibew chat program you need to download it from here (https://mibew.org/download.php) and install, it requires a bunch php modules and mysql just follow this link guide (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yJGlVk5XDRs&noredirect=1).

I had a look at the video. I downloaded the software – it is now on my computer – I am web designer since many years but frankly – I mean seriously??? Ain’t gonna do that! Absolutely not.

So your plugin is not working without this deep programmer thingy going through the database and stuff?

Yup that is how the plugin works just new that when I installed the plugin as well.

werbyvillarino is correct for pointing out that the WP Mibew doesn’t include the Mibew chat software (yet).

The Pro version might be able to solve that issue.

I apologize that I didn’t make it clear that the plugin requires the Mibew chat software to be installed and configured.

just released v.0.0.7 which includes that info and this should reduce the confusion.
