• Hello,

I just installed the plugin No Category Base compatible with WPML. I have landing pages set up for the main categories under https://www.url.com/landing-category, which happens to be the same name as the category. So what I didn’t realize is that once I turned on this plugin, it overrode the category view onto my landing page. So now instead of my landing pages we’re getting the standard category archive pages.

I deactivated and then deleted the plugin, but I still couldn’t get to my landing pages, even though that is how I have it set up in the menus. I tried giving the pages a different permalink name but then that caused a page not found. I was finally able to get my landing pages back by resetting the permalink structure.

How can I use this plugin correctly so that I can have the category landing pages instead of the archive pages for those 3 main menu items?

The site is here. See the categories Cómo se hace, Herramientas y suministros, Negocios, Mantenimiento y reparación (Seguridad is okay as category archives – that is how I had it set up.)

    thanks.

    Hi antorera,

Just in case you still have the issue: what version of WP No category base are you running?

    Thanks.

    Hello,

Running the current versions of WordPress and this plugin and having the exact same issue. The problem presents identically when using another plugin with the same functionality. Any insight into resolving it?

I installed the Yoast seo plugin on my mobile slots site and this one does not have the option to set noindex for the archives and categories (WP no category base installed). I am testing the all in one seo plugin and check later if Google still will index them.
