• I’ve tested this plugin on a localhost, and everything seemed working fine. However after uploading it on my hosting, it didn’t work. If I tried to authenticate through VeriSign, I went through authenticating, but comment wasn’t published (no error messages though). When I tried other OpenID providers, the plugin kept saying me it couldn’t authenticate me and suggested leaving a comment without OpenID authentication.

Am I missing something? Maybe this plugin requires some library my hoster doesn’t provide?

Also I want to have an option of not allowing people who couldn’t authenticate via OpenID to provide their site address (SEO spammers usually don’t have OpenID, so it adds some protection from them)

Strange… On my localhost it only works with VeriSign. If I try livejournal.com or ya.ru, it can’t authentificate me as well.

I’ve just checked: turns out my failed comments are actually in Akismet spam. That “auto-approve” option doesn’t override Akismet.

    Also LiveJournal OpenID still fails

I’ve not had any trouble with LiveJournal OpenIDs. First, try updating to the latest version (3.0). If you continue to have the issue, please do let me know and I’ll see if we can figure it out.
