• I have been using this plugin for some time and I love it.

A while back I migrated from single blog to a network install.

When I optimized from the main blog I noticed that the tables that correspond with ALL of the blogs were optimized.

I would LIKE to be able to optimize ALL of the blogs at the same time, and delete post revisions, spam, etc.

My question: What is the best way to activate this plugin?

    I see three potential options:

    1 – Network Activate

2 – Activate the plugin on each blog individually

3 – Activate it on the main blog only (and it takes care of the rest)

    Which method is best?

If Method #1 or #2, do I need to optimized each blog individually to clean up post revisions, spam, etc.?

  • I am also interested in this answer because I run a multisite. Is this the best optimize mysql database plugin for a multi-site?

H’mm …anyone have thoughts on this one?

    I’m interested too.

Hi Guys, so sorry for the late reply.. I’ve been really tie up with work. I love the ideas but I do not have the time to do the code..

If you have a wp multisite which uses the same wp db login then the plugin will by default optimize all tables in that db..

That modification should be extremely simple, if network activated the wp-optimize menu should only appear on the network dashboard not rather than as at present where it shows up on each sites dashboard but in fact appears to do the full job from any sub- site.

In network activation, the tables are optimized from any one site, but it does not seem to remove the spam comments or post revisions, etc. Those seem to have to be done site by site.

I’d like to add my voice to this. I know you’re busy, but if you get some time, it would be awesome if we could just run it from the Network Admin and have it clean all sites.

Yes! If we could just run it in Network Admin and make sure that it not only optimizes all the tables, but also deletes the spam & post revisions off of all the sites, that would be super!
