  • Hi!
    Thank′s for your help.
    ??

In functions.php there were a call to another jQuery…as you pointed out. I′ll never make that mistake again ??
    Thank you!

Hey man. I am trying to use your slider for another site. I am using the thumbnail option to recreate a gallery on an old site that was built in flash. The slider works and acts perfect on all browsers but on IE8, the thumbnails are shifted about 100px over to the left for some reason.

Here is the gallery in action

Hopefully you have access to IE8 to see it messing up … if not I can provide a screen grab but that explanation pretty much says it all. If you have IE9 I wouldn’t mind knowing how it looks on there as well if you don’t mind.

I was hoping that you might be familiar with something that could be changed to make it show up correctly in IE8 though.

    Thanks man.

Just realized you can’t have more than one of them on your site … scratch that … you don’t have any way to have different sliders on different pages do you?

Hey Gary, yes, one per page is the current limitation i’m afraid.

    Hi guys,
    back to gary.uphams problem:

[…] Is there a way that you can have it still slide automatically but not have to show the animation?

Depending on what else you got in the markup, this will work as well:
    .timer { z-index:0; }
This is an attempt to actually display the timer behind the slides (as each slide is z-indexed with 1 or more). Works for me. ??

But still it would be better if the autoplay option worked without that timer animation altogether because it stalls my CPU, plus it just doesn’t work well in IE (several versions).
That said, I quite like this plugin. ??

Just want to say, this thread helped me solve my problem. Thanks.

The JavaScript was failing to run because of a conflict with the jQuery script.

I set the Orbit Slider JS to run in the Footer and now all is well.

    WordPress version: 3.4.1.

    Hello virtualpudding,

First – Thanks for this great plugin and for the help you’ve provided so far.

    I’m having an issue I can’t resolve.

I’m working on this page https://bos-bbq.com/menus/

The problem is that some of the image I uploaded don’t display, if for example I have 10 images uploaded only 6 display.

Also the slider arrows seem to be unresponsive most of the time (meaning that when I click them it doesn’t go to the next image).

Do you know what maybe causing this?

Thank you very much for your time.

Hey Guys, I resolved my issue.

The problem was using “$” instead of “jQuery” in wordpress.

Also is there a way to edit my post so the URL in there is not indexed by google? I’m sorry, it was a mistake I realized after posting and the site is for a client.
