  • That sounds like a theme problem. Try deactivating PageNavi and see if it still happens.

have done that already, in case you’re wondering, I’m using one of _freshface’s theme’s …

as you can see on the following link, his sample installation runs with no issues ( https://themeforest.net/item/london-creative-portfolio-blog-wp-theme/full_screen_preview/70613 )

it’s not an issue with php, and most likely not something wrong with the theme scripting seeing as it works on other sites… I’ve tried deactivating various addons as well to see what happens…

    site in reference is #sexyteim

Try doing it systematically: Disable all plugins and see if it works.

If not, contact the theme author.

If yes, activate them one by one until the permalinks break again.

okay, all plugins deactivated aside from pagenavi, and still get the error :/

author says it’s not an issue with the theme’s script, he’s looked in my backend himself :/

Ok, does deactivating PageNavi resolve the issue?

dissolve issue of? I need pagenavi functioning ;p that is the issue…

I’ve deactivated it/deleted it/reinstalled it, etc. numerous times… for now I’ll just let it remain broken

if you have some spare time maybe you can take a look at it yourself

Here’s what I need you to do:

    1. Deactivate WP-PageNavi
    2. Go to https://sexyteim.com/page/2/
    3. Describe what you see

I see the same 404 issue as when the app is still activated ??

That means it’s not a problem with PageNavi, but with your theme, as I suspected.

I’m having the same problem with the LondonCreative theme and have spent the last few hours trying to figure out what’s going wrong.

I’ve adjusted the query_posts as per scribu’s suggestion but it doesn’t seem to make a difference.

The theme always finds ‘Paging’ pages to be 404’s.

Scribu I realize that this has to be solved on a per-theme basis but can you give some ideas for where we can start identifying what’s going wrong? I’ve combed through the MainIndex.php but can’t seem to find the spot where it calls the 404 (thinking I could manipulate the logic to ignore “page” in the URL).

probably have to bug _freshface more, but he’s saying there’s nothing wrong with his scripting, you’re going to have to look at the functions and mainindex, since he pulls variables all over the place it’s a little confusing -.- I’ll look at it more when I have some free time though
