    Update: I copied the WPPA style sheet to my child theme folder and this resolved the font issues.

    I guess the child theme style sheet is overwriting the WPPA style sheet if this style sheet is not in the child theme folder.

    This is not optimum since I will have to copy the “master” WPPA style sheet to the child theme folder each time I update the Options.

    However, at least I now understand the resolution to this problem.

    If you change an option the wppa stylesheet is not modified, so you will not have to copy the css every time. The css effects caused by wppa settings are all element.styles.
