[Plugin: WP Photo Album Plus] Upload path

  • Hey. I’ve started using this plugin, and it’s the first one I’ve found that suits my needs. One thing however that annoys me is the upload path. Is there a reason for uploaded images to be renamed, and put in the same directory? even if you can export albums, it can be a problem if the database somehow gets messed up. Would be nice if you could have like.. upload/album-name/original-filename.jpg.

    Oh and btw, one other thing that would be nice (I don’t think I’ve missed it), is a widget to show a number of random images of all albums you have. I made a horizontal sidebar, and wanted to show a few images.. but the slideshow wants a path to an album, and don’t want to work with subfolders on the root of the gallery.

    If you want to use wppa+ you will have to live with the data structures as they are.

    At the moment there are almost 300.000 downloads and i never had a report of a messed-up database.

    Version 4.4.8 (to be released today) will contain a thumbnail widget in which you can select –all– as albumname. Set the default sort order to random (Table IV-21), and the number of thumbnails as you like (Table I-30) and their max size (Table I-31).
