• I’m looking for a plugin to share WordPress and phpBB users. This one comes close, but it changes the WordPress login sequence in ways I didn’t expect.

When I visit /wp-admin, the plugin redirects to the phpBB login page. After I log in there, it redirects back to the WordPress front page; not the dashboard. If I manually visit /wp-admin again, I’m now logged in on the dashboard. After I log out of WordPress, I get redirected to the phpBB login page again instead of the WordPress front page.

Is this the way it’s meant to work? I’d prefer the plugin to just use the login information from the phpbb_users table for WordPress authentication, without all the redirection business.

    Cheers,
    Graham

At the moment this is the expected and proper behaviour of this plugin.. The devs could change that in the future if they’re not all dead.

Thanks for the clarification. To be honest, what I really want is for phpBB subscribers to be added to the default MailPress newsletter rather than have them become WordPress users. Anyone know of a plugin that can do this?

these people are totally out of control! they need to stop all redirects and really is twisting me the wrong way. There are a ton of people with this same issue and nothing has been resolved.
