I also had this issue with stats not showing in dashboard and error messages being given for the url and api key. Reverting to 0.8.9 fixed it. Just using regular per site activation and not WPMU.

@feliceguerriero: What does “the views no longer work” mean?

@thedude: Can you post the error messages here?

This red message appeared in account settings: “An error occured: Please check URL and auth token. You need at least view access to one site.”

I should point out this doesn’t seem to be occurring on new sites I’ve added the plugin to, only existing sites that upgraded.

Maybe this error is related to this one: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/plugin-wp-piwik-after-upgrade-my-stats-are-broken

I’ll have a look at this. Currently I’m confused a bit because I didn’t touch the multisite functionality, apparently I’m missing something.

Just to be clear I wasn’t using the multisite functionality where one modifies the code, and have been activating it on a per site basis or using network activate.

@thedudeabides: Did you check the URL and token settings after updating? Please also compare the stored auth token with the current auth token given by Piwik. Did you update Piwik at the same time?

@feliceguerriero: Can you try the current development version? Get it here: https://downloads.www.ads-software.com/plugin/wp-piwik.zip Please create a backup before testing!

It looks like there a forward slash was in front of the piwik url which I didn’t notice at a glance and was causing the issue. I’m not sure if that’s something I accidentally did or the plugin did at some point, as I also had to re-enable graphs to display in dashboard on some. Anyway I gave the latest version another try and everything seems to be working fine again.
