• A much needed plugin. Shame it doesn’t work.

Installed and configured properly. Nice features like the ability to “opt out” individual members and the ability to customize the announcement, but in the end, it doesn’t email anyone. Not sure why.

• It works for me!
How can i import a database of users without doing them one by one?

“iloveleesh”,

I would be interested in knowing your configuration.

Mine: WordPress v3.0.1 with SQL 5.0 on a Linux server.

it’s not working for me either.

it simply doesn’t notify anyone.

is there any way to contact the Developer?

Sorry for being late, a new version is now available

Confirmed: new 2.1 version works with WP-3.2.1

A few minor annoyances:

1) In the custom notification feature, the variable “[BLOG_NAME]” works on the Subject line, but can’t be mixed with HTML in the actual notification.

2) The tags “[EXCERPT]” and “[LOGO]” also do not appear to work.

3) A “Preview” feature for your custom notification would be extremely helpful.

4) The plugin appears to still notify everyone of simple post updates, not just NEW blog postings. Plugin must be disabled before minor updates to avoid resending Notification to everyone.

5) A “Notification opt out” option on every users Preferences page would be extremely helpful.

Other than those minor issues, the plugin works and works well. An excellent and badly needed feature that should have been built into WP in the first place.

Hi,
1- It’s ok for this point
2- To use the [EXCERPT], you need to specify it manually for each post as https://goo.gl/SQ0Tj
3- Added to my TO-DO list
4- That’s true
5- It’s already available https://goo.gl/wUYb4

Thanks for the info, Fay?al.

On #2, are there rules for using the “[LOGO]” variable?

Plugin Author fay-1

(@fay-1)

Actually I removed the [LOGO] variable from the last version cause it was not that helpful since it was just a shortcut for the img HTML tag :
[LOGO]https://www.example.org/logo.png[LOGO] instead of ->
< img src=”https://www.example.org/logo.png” / >

Updated to latest version today. Everything appears to be working except my Email Body appears with a whole lot of tags and phrases that shouldn’t be there. The content starts of with .fay and after a string of numerics ha “Content Type: text/html: charset……” and continues on with a string of codes with the actual required content embedded along the way. Please help! Strangely, this issue does not appear on my test account set up on Gmail, but all other emails (including at work and my home one).

What content are you trying to save for the email body ?
I also need the exact displayed result (the one starting with .fay…)
