[Plugin: WP Rss Poster] Error during run now a campaign [PLEASE HELP!]

hello,
i got this as output when i click on run now a feeded campaign:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function mb_list_encodings() in /home/*****/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-rss-poster/include/tools.php on line 186
PLEASE HELP! My php isn’t actually the 5 one but i’ve tried updating to 5 and it output one more error with the one i’ve type above.
Someone? Any clues?
