• This looks great and functions well but the glaring problem is that NONE of the submenus work on the Admin. If my client needs to add Categories under Posts/News, no can do. If they need to add a Location in Events Manager, no can do. None of the submenus for any of the main tabs are accessible so once this can be added in, I would give it a very enthusiastic two thumbs up but until then…it just doesn’t work.

  • @taylor: Thank you for commenting about this. I also discovered the same issue under my WordPress installation. If this can be resolved, WP-Simplify would make one heck of a minimalistic admin UI.

@seancojr: Exactly. I’ve tried to contact the creator of the plugin multiple times but he’s super busy with paying clients. ?? I even offered to PAY for some of these upgrades because to me it would be WORTH it to have a UI this good.

How long have you been using WP as a CMS?

@taylor: My apologies for the delayed response. I’ve just started taking up the interest to use WordPress as a CMS only a couple of months ago, and so I’ve been testing various plugins which promise to provide that functionality.

By the way, I’ve installed and activated this plugin under a different WordPress site. It appears to be working as described now, with backend sub-menu items displaying as well.

@seancojr: No worries! We’re all trying to pay the bills. ??

That would be amazing. I’m going to test it now…

Well, yes and no. The problem is that your site has a lot of main nav links, then when you go to move your mouse back to the far left to click on a submenu then the the mouse normally falls off the line and the submenu disappears. It would be much easier if the submenus dropped down below the link in this case so that’s why I’m going with the Oz Admin Drop down menu.

But I DO LOVE the theme for the basecamp in Simplify….argh.
