    Hi Camu,

I really made a fool of myself when editing the preferences for my Slimstat, so now I’m unauthorized?! :S

The thing was, I wanted to limit the possibility to change settings so that only I could administrate it. I filled in my username and clicked “save”. The problem is I didn’t know it was Caps sensitive?! I put “jane” into Slimstat, but my account at WP is “Jane”. And I can’t change names in WP. Either I can’t make another user, “jane”, in WP since it already exists (as “Jane”). ??

So, now I don’t even se the administrator page for Slimstat, since I’m not authorized. ??

Is there ANY way to solve this?

    Kind regards
    Jane

    Hi there,

You’re right, this behavior is fixed in version 2.8.1. Right now what you can do is to edit that option directly in MySQL (via phpmyadmin). In wp_options look for “slimstat_options” and edit the corresponding option_value changing Jane into jane. Alternatively you can contact me [1] and I can send you a preview of version 2.8.1 ??

    Cheers

    Hi Camu,

It’s me again… ?? I never found out how to change the names so I just decided to wait for the update. Now I’ve got Slimstat version 3.0, but I still can’t do any changes…?

    Cheers
    Jane

Have you tried using “slimstatadmin” like explained in the FAQs?

Oh, didn’t know you had updated the FAQs – I’ll check and get back if I can’t fix it! Thanks!
