    Hi,

    First, just wanted to say I love this plugin. Been using it for the better part of a year now.

    However, just recently, the visual chart (showing the daily stats) stopped working. I can’t tell you exactly when or if it was after some specific event. Everything else seems to work fine.

    So… some details:

    Latest WP – 3.3.1
    Slimstats – 2.7
    PHP – 5.2.5
    MySQL – 5.0.92

    OS and Browsers tested – Windows 7, with IE 9, FF 10 and Chrome
    Ubuntu with FF 5

    Tried changing some permissions, tried deactivating then reactivating the plugin numerous times, even moved the wp-slimstat-js.php file.

    Turned off ALL other plugins, turned off my anti-virus, rebooted, cleared browser cache/history.

    The only thing I did not do was uninstall and reinstall because it warned that all data would be deleted, which I don’t want.

    The only thing I saw was in the config section when changing the path of that file I did see this message upon saving:

    Warning: implode() [function.implode]: Invalid arguments passed in /home/username/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-slimstat/wp-slimstat.php on line 976

    Not sure what that means.

    What am I missing?

    Thanks,
    Mike

  • I have the same error message. New site with a new 3.3.1 install – just downloaded SlimStat and changed the setting to ‘Use separate menu’ and the message appeared. Changed the setting back, then deactivated/activated and it appeared again when I added a filter for my IP address. The dashboard is recording views and it is too early for the other boxes to populate. No WP error log messages. MySql 5.0.92 and PHP 5.2.17.

    Line 975-976:
    // Is there anything we need to update?
    if (($_type != ‘list’ && $this->options[$_option] == $_value) || implode(‘,’, $this->options[$_option]) == $_value) return true;

    I do not know php so cannot tell what the issue is.

    @mike,

    I see you’ve already tested almost everything, but what version were you using before upgrading to 2.7? Would it be possible for me to take a look at your admin?

    @azjaleah,

    it seems like you found a bug, thank you for pointing that out. I will fix it in 2.7.1. Sorry for the inconvenience.

    Hi Camu,

    Thanks for your response.

    Honestly, I don’t know which version I started with. I install via the WP Admin installer (as well as update) so I don’t have files to check with. Although I did find a 2008 version I used on a different site once ??

    This particular blog was started in Sept. 2010 and I probably installed the plugin some time around Feb. or March 2011, and I have updated whenever a new version was released.

    I have no issue letting you in to my admin. Where should I send those details?

    Camu, thanks for the quick response. The dashboard widget does not appear to be functioning correctly – the only box recording information is the Summary for the Month. All other boxes are empty although visits are being recorded in the main panels. I’ve disabled all other plugins and it did not change the dashboard widget results.

    @azjaleah, yes this is a known bug. It will be fixed in 2.7.1. Or contact me and I’ll send you the file that needs to be replaced ??

    Cheers,
    Camu

    Same error here, whenever I change any option in the settings menu.
    Waiting for the 2.7.1 ??

    (@coolmann)

    Yeah, sorry about that. But I hope you guys will forgive me when 2.8 is out (not 2.7.1 anymore…). I’ve redesigned the Javascript tracker and I’m starting to work on heat maps ??

    Cheers,
    Camu

    No problem at all ! Your plugin works perfectly apart from this ??
    Nothing to complain, just found out about it and was looking for some answer. Indeed, I prefer this plugin than the Jetpack WP stats. More “real time”, efficient and informative IMO.

    Regards,
    Eddy

    Heat maps? Hey, are you going to be able to track our movements across the planet?

    I agree with you Mr Eddy. SlimStats are the supreme reporter. More information than I can even understand so it’s become a learning tool for me, too.

    LOL, well I want something that can tell me as much as it can about what people do on my site, who they are and where they click ?? It’s SEO 101 eheh. And that’s just the beginning…

    Camu

    got a similar issue here but only on Chrome (stable branch on MAC) works just fine on FF: https://screencast.com/t/pwJEv7RuL

    any ideas?

    (@coolmann)

    Well, I assume Chrome on Mac doesn’t support HTML5 canvases, then ??

    Excuse me, I am an idiot.
    I just realized it stopped working when I started using Chrome beta instead of Chrome stable.

    sorry for this ??

    (@coolmann)

    Not a problem, but then you may want to open a bug ticket for Chrome, so that they are aware of the issue!
