[Plugin: WP Splash Image] I can't get the plugin to work

I installed our plugin, and can’t get it to work on my site. I think the problem is adding the <first load> code after the <body> tag in the theme. I don’t see a <body> tag. Here’s the code I see that has “body” anywhere in it. Please help!
