• I’m using this plugin on a multi-site installation with both subdirectory users and domain mapped users. I am using the development version of the plugin, with the domain mapping sub-plugin enabled.

*The problem is*: the cached version of the /feed page for the domain mapped users never seems to update on its own.

Incidentally, the feed cache doesn’t seem to update regularly for subdirectory users either—only when they create a new post. But for the mapped users, even this doesn’t cause their feed to update. Even the delete cache button doesn’t usually work, I often have to manually go into the cache directory and delete the file directly.

I saw that a similar forum poster was advised to try the development version of the plugin, but this hasn’t fixed the problem for me. I have also re-installed the plugin with no effect.

Any help would be very much appreciated!!

    The main site is boolesrings.org.
The mapped sites are dorais.org and jdh.hamkins.org.
Here is a log file showing a period of normal site usage. Some of the requests for “/feed” are in reference to these mapped domains. For some weird reason, the feed for dorais.org is stored in “cache/blogs/blog” while the feed for hamkins.org is stored in either “/hamkins/feed” or “/feed” (depending on which url the user asked for i guess).

  • Can you enable debugging and see on what domain the feed cached files are deleted? Have you enabled the domain mapping helper plugin in WP Super Cache?

Thank you very much for your response!

Yes, the helper plugin is enabled.

But I don’t fully understand your request. The cached feed files are successfully deleted when there is a new posting on boolesrings.org/user, but they are not deleted when there is a new posting on eithr jdh.hamkins.org (which maps to boolesrings.org/hamkins) or dorais.org (which maps to boolesrings.org/dorais). In all cases I’m talking about the files in cache/blogs/…. The files in cache/supercache/domain appear to be working correctly.

I have enabled a new debugging session with log file here:

    (I have disabled debugging)

I’m going to go ahead and insist that this is a bug. I can reproduce it again and again, and I’ve tried everything including re-installing several times.

To summarize it one more time: domain mapped blogs do not get their cached feeds updated, neither by creating a new post nor by garbage collection within 2 hours.
