[Plugin: WP Super Cache] How to cache page outside WP directory, but running WP framework?

I have a custom site I built, that I recently installed WP into a subdirectory of same. The WP pages are slow, so I installed WP Super Cache. On the site’s home page, I load WP at the top of the page, and display the most recent post there. I very much want this feature, as it provides renewed content up front, and leads readers into the blog area. Is there anyway to get this page cached as well? Home page slow is very bad indeed…
