• I am using multisite with add-on domains and the domain mapping plug-in. I added a new subsite yesterday and the only visible content on the site is the default page that was created. Even new pages and new widget content is not visible. Not only does it make it difficult to work on the site but website visitors and search engines will only see the default sample page.

How often is the cache updated? Is there a way to make the content visible immediately? I checked the setting “Don’t cache pages for known users” which I thought would eliminate the problem at least for me but it didn’t.

I am using the following settings:
Cache hits to this website for quick access.
Use PHP to serve cache files.
Compress pages so they’re served more quickly to visitors.
    304 Not Modified browser caching.
Don’t cache pages for known users.
    Cache rebuild.

I just looked at the site I put up 4 days ago and it still shows the original sample page and does not show any of the content I created. Can someone explain how the plug-in is supposed to be used so that new content becomes visible and old content is not seen?

    Thanks.

Check the documentation, the FAQ, the troublshooting section. Use the debug system to check what happens when you post something. Check that your browser requests the page and hasn’t cached it *in the browser*.

SUper Cache works fine on my regular WordPress sites but not with Multisite subsites. I published a post yesterday at newyorkmotorcycleaccidentattorney.com

That site had only one post previously and still only shows that one post. The new post is not visible except in the dashboard. I usually use Firefox which often creates caching problems but I cleared the cache in Firefox and I also tried using IE6 and I still do not see the new post from yesterday.

I did not see anything in the FAQ or Troubleshooting that would help me, although this is not in my area of knowledge.

Check the wp-content/cache/ directory on your server and see what files are there, especially in the supercache directory in there. Also, next time you post something use the debug system in the plugin and it’ll tell you what’s happening.

Finally, try the dev version. Lots of bugs fixed recently!

In the supercache directory, there are folders for each of the subsites. Some, but not all have two folders as follows:
    newyorkmotorcycleaccidentattorney.com
    newyorkmotorcycleaccidentattorney.lawfirm911.com

That is the site on which the new content is not visible to website visitors.

In the wp-content/cache/ directory, there appears to be a wp-cache-.html file for each of the subsites.

To update the dev version, should I deactivate the existing plug-in; delete the plug-in and upload the new one?

Just overwrite the files in wp-content/plugins/wp-super-cache/ to update the plugin.

I uploaded the dev version. Which level debugging should I use. I don’t want to cause a severe server load.

5 and limit it to your own IP so it only logs your own actions.

No new content is showing on any of the subsites of my multisite installation since I posted this approximately 1 month ago. It works fine on standalone installations where you content or modified content immediately appears.

I just ran the debug system. Should I post the results here?

Post it to pastebin.com and then post a link to it here. Check them first and see if you notice anything.

This is definitely not my expertise, so I have no idea what I’m looking for. Should I make the pastebin.com post public?

After looking at it, I didn’t see any reason to make it private. The link is

Thanks but you have to view the front page of your blog, not the network admin page, also edit a post/publish a post, moderate comments.. Check the logs and make sure files were deleted.

This time I did it from the subsite dashboard. I edited a page (Test1) and created a page (Test2). I did not create any comments because the page is not displaying so I can’t do that. I did not moderate any comments because there weren’t any and I have commenting turned off on all of the subsites.

This paste is set to expire in one day, so if you have not been able to get to it in time, let me know and I will paste it again.

The URL for the blog I just created is still working. I looked for the log using Filezilla but I was not able to find the log file. I have no idea where to find the log to delete it. I looked in wp-content/cache/supercache/sitename and it is not there.

Additionally, the log I created yesterday must also still be on the server but I no longer have the URL for that log and also have no idea where to find it. I only remember that it started with bb. I looked in wp-content/cache and it is not there.
