[Plugin: WP Super Cache] No benefit for wordpress pages

I’ve come to discover that there is no benefit for wordpress pages. They will usually come up as index.php files. I did remove the exception rule in the plug-in to include these files for caching, but the plug-in does not cache pages.

Is there an other way to speed up page access in wordpress or how to make super cache work with pages?
