[Plugin: WP Super Cache] Posts have been cached but aren’t in the database?
-
Hi there!
I’ve just been brought in to help with a transfer of a blog from one server to another when the site owner noticed a problem… I’ve never used WP Super Cache before, but I’m starting to feel that it’s the cause.
The database (both on the old server and the new one) seems to stop storing posts around June 27/08. But he has been posting several times daily since then and saw no problems until this server move. Now, I’m not sure where these posts went, but Super Cache seems to have grabbed them, as they exist in the backup from pre-site-move.
I have since disabled and re-enabled the plugin, causing the /wp-content/cache folder to empty… But I have a copy of the full cache.
Does anyone have an idea of what could have happened here? Is there an easy way to go from pile of .html files back to a database?
