[Plugin: WP Super Cache] safari returns a blog.gz file intead of showing site

  • My bog started to show and download a blog.gz file instead of showing the blog site with I use Safari. To fix it I have to first notice it is giving an error and then delete and reset the cache .

    This only happens with Safari from time to time. The rest of the browsers are okay.

    Any thoughts?

  • It’s very difficult to debug these intermittent problems but if you’re worried about it then disable compression in the plugin. You could have PHP or Apache compress the pages on the fly instead. It takes a bit more CPU but if your site isn’t too busy you won’t notice.
