I have tried for several days to get the Super cache plugin to work.
As you can see in this topic, i was quite desperate.

Well.. in my search for an answer i found another chache plugin called 1 Blog Cacher.

I installed this in like 1 minute, it was just plug and play like most plugins are, and wtf.. it really worked!!

    <!– Loaded from cache in 0.0045 seconds by 1 Blog Cacher – (2008-11-06, 17:16:09) –>

My question is then, what is the difference between “WP-Super Cache” and “1 Blog Cacher”, and why did this work so easily…

Should i unplug it and try to get super cache to work, or should i just be happy and go drink a bear in the bar…

I can live with a loading time 0.0045 seconds if that’s the question…

PS: sorry for the doble posts, but for one reson the tags are not saved.

  • wp-super-cache can serve cached files without executing PHP, I don’t think 1 blog cacher can. Not sure if 1 blog cacher does any mutex/file locking of the cache generation.

    Use whatever works for you!

… go drink a bear in the bar …

If you do end up drinking a bear in a bar, please upload photos! That’s something I’d pay good money to see.

Sorry for the off topic, but that bear typo made me laugh really hard! And my wife, too. And our kid, too, who doesn’t know what a beer is, but laughed because we were laughing.
Thanks for making the typo, Rage00001!
