[Plugin: WP Supersized] Slows down Chrome, Safari

Hy,
the plugin slows down the Chrome and Safari browsers. It’s also a bit laggy on older Firefox but on 7.0.1 it works like a charm.
Is this a known global problem or its just so by me?

Is there a solution for speeding up the site? I love this plugin and I doesnt want to discard it.
