Following on from that, a couple of more questions that have came to mind,

7. Is there any way to show numbers on the Google Graphs?

8. Is there a way to export single results, perhaps to XML/XLS/PDF?

I also have a suggestion.
It would be nice to have options to chose other languages. Maybe people interesting in this option (for eg. me) could make translations it their native languages?

Ok, i’ve done some of translations manually, but i think it would be a good solution, to make language php file with array of strings and in every file where we use a string we could give a reference to our php language file.

Congratulations on a great plug-in, guys.

I think there will be plenty of users who will find items 4 and 6 really valuable, and I’m certainly one of them. I can’t start to use it until you implement them (or something like them). Items 7 and 8 less important, abut still really valuable.

Ollie, can you give some visibility about whether/when you think you guys might be able to build it?

Update for all involved in these points.

Firstly, many thanks to Rab for a fantastic list of bugs. It really makes it easy for me when I have a concise list to just follow ??

Right, I’m currently working on 1 and 2.
Number 3 should be fixed with the latest update (2.6.6).
4 – good idea.
5 – certainly, will be in the next release.
6 – agreed, this will probably be last issue as it could take a while.
7 – yep and I’ve done it with the likert results now. Will add in on to all graphs (I think it’s a useful feature)
8 – another longer and possibly less important one, will do after 6.

I’m going to be working all through today solely on WPSQT so I’ll push an update tonight and hopefully I’ve got through most of these bugs by then.

UPDATE:
1 – Providing a full customisation suite is overkill, to avoid the colours looking too similar I’ve added labels to each pie slice.
2 – Fixed by removing the title in the chart, unnecessary anyway as the title is just above the chart.

Make sure you get 2.7.1 instead of 2.7 which I released last night, there was an issue with the capability checking which is now fixed with version 2.7.1.

Ollie, sorry to be a dummy but can you explain how Likert scoring works in the plugin?

I’d like to implement 2.7.1, and I want to run a survey which will score people’s Likert answers as 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5, but I don’t know how to do this.

If you choose the likert type you can then set the scale to be 5. This will put 5 radio buttons labelled 1-5. The user will select one, and on the total results page you can see a bar graph of all the results for that likert question.

Not sure what you mean by scoring as there is no sense in scoring surveys.

Hi,

I’ve updated the plugin, however I’m presented with “An upgrade is required for WPSQT. Click here to proceed to upgrade.” When pressing the Upgrade button it hangs. It’s not an entirely white screen, the menu is there, but the WordPress admin bar is missing for example.

To try and skip this upgrade I removed the plugin, and removed the database tables and done a fresh install of 2.7.1, however it still asks for an upgrade, which fails.

This is running on a WordPress Network installation (latest version).

What does the Upgrade try to do to the database? Perhaps I can carry out the upgrade manually in SQL.

The upgrade message appears after upgrading to any version of the plugin, however there are no database changes in this version so the upgrade won’t be required. If you open up the options table and change the wpsqt_upgrade_required to 0 and wpsqt_old_version to 2.7.1. This should get rid of the notification.

If this issue occurs when you update to the next release of WPSQT please create a forum thread as its obviously a recurrent problem.

For any searchers with same problem, that’s in the wp-blogid-options table. wpsqt_old_version and wpsqt_update_required (not upgrade)
