[plugin: wp-table-reloaded]Can't save table settings

this sounds as if you are affected by a problem with a security extension that is installed on your server, for example the “Suhosin Extension” or “mod_security” for the Apache webserver.

Those programs run on servers and try to prevent intrusions by hackers. They do this by inspecting the behavior of the transmissions of a site, and depending on their rule set, block a request.

In the case of WP-Table Reloaded, this seems to happen especially with bigger tables. Due to the many text fields in the table, the security extensions feel that something is wrong (which it isn’t), and then stop the request. This basically means that your changes are not sent through to WP-Table Reloaded but are blocked at the “gate” of your server.

Unfortunately, there’s nothing that I can change about this in WP-Table Reloaded (without major redesigns, which would mean to re-develop the plugin).

Note however, that in most cases, your only chance is to contact your webhost company/server administrator and work out solution with them, so that the security extensions no longer block requests to WP-Table Reloaded.

Ah right yes – it hadn’t occured to me that the common factor is that they are large tables. I’ll speak to my host and let you know if this works.
