[Plugin: WP-Table Reloaded] How do I add a "Add Product Preview Script"

that script looks ok to me, except maybe that you didn’t fill in your affiliate ID.

Can you maybe post the link to the page with the table where this is not working?

I did put in my affiliate ID but for the purpose of showing it here in place of my affiliate ID i just put in aff.id What shows up is just a blank table.

thanks for this. As it seems, there are some manual line breaks in the JS code from Amazon. Can you please try to remove those? The code should be in one line of text (except for those line breaks that get added automatically due to the width of the cell being smaller than the text). A good way to to this is to drag the cell bigger by clicking the lower right corner (should work in all modern browsers).

To get rid of the “Show 10 entries” dropdown, please see the “DataTables JavaScript features” section below the table input fields on the “Edit” screen. You uncheck the unwanted features here. This is the “Length Change” feature.

So basically all I have to do for my first problem is just drag the cell bigger. I did that but when I click save and go back it goes back to the original setting.

no ?? What I meant with that: Drag the cell bigger, and then remove all the line breaks, so that the code is in one line only, without any line breaks.

ah, yes, no the line breaks are gone ?? Good! (And yes, it’s expected that the size of the text field returns to its original size, this is not a problem.)

This is now all we can do from WP-Table Reloaded’s point of view. Unfortunately, I’m not sure, why it is still not working. Very likely this is connected to some JavaScript errors that I can see in the debug console, which are raised by that script from Amazon.

It seems that the Amazon scripts show some weird/wrong behavior at this time…

Oh, and I also checked the site which shows what you want to achieve: They do this in a different way (without the not-working script): They directly embed the images and then add the buttons as direct links to the Amazon pages (with their affiliate ID included of course).

I would love to help, but I’m not really sure how I can ??

I think that you will need to find other ways of integrating Amazon, i.e. not any of their dynamic widgets, but some static links to the product. Then you use that link in your table, with a button image instead of regular link text. That’s how the other site does it.
