You can use Scissors instead. It support cropping and resizing of images from the standard WordPress management dialogs in addition to watermarking and on-demand resampling of images you resized directly in the post editor.

Scissors is unsupported as of v2.9, so what are the alternatives at this point?

However, on my mac when I download the file it downloads into different files on a folder on my desktop, instead of remaining in a zip file that I can upload in the plugin section of my website. Does anyone know what is going wrong?
