• Just thought I could help you out with some bugs.

    1. text=”” doesnt seem to support symbols like &.
    2. couldn’t get the converter from audio-tags to work. I did have artists= and titles= info in my audio:tags, maybe this has something to do with it?

    And finally just a suggestion. when clicked on new song, pause the one playing.

    otherwise: GREAT plugin, very easy to modify even without “css-support”

    Can be viewed at https://www.goodbadmemories.com (quite heavily styled though, with different gif also)

    Thanks!

  • Sliptide, it looks like your theme is missing wp_footer().

    I would greatly appreciate the ability the customize the font of the text being displayed. See https://www.eduweave.org/blog. Any workarounds till you provide that feature via the panel? Is there a CSS file that I can edit? Would it be affected when I update WordPress? I am using the Thesis Theme.

    Thanks!
    Sheela

    p.s. I love this plugin! Many others just failed to work or did funky things. wpaudio was straightforward to install and use. Thanks a lot!

    I’ve upgraded 1 website to 1.5.2 and wpaudio doesn’t work anylonger in IE, the play button does not respond at all, nothing is happening. I’ve another website using 1.4.0 and that still works ok. I have checked the footer.php, it does contain wp_footer code like:

    </div>
    <?php wp_footer(); ?>
    </body>
    </html>

    1.5.2 => https://euroloopfest.com/festival/?page_id=49
    1.4.0 => https://euroloopfest.com/sjaak2/?page_id=87

    Could you take a look?

    Thanks,
    Sjaak

    Sjaak, would you mind disabling your other plugins for a moment on the 1.5.2 site to see if there are any conflicts? Thanks.

    I see that a layout fix isn’t playing nicely with your site. The next release addresses that.

    I have disabled all the plugins (sociable etc), only WPaudio is now active. No difference so far. I leave them off so that you can check the page yourself ok (see url below)? Thanks

    Sjaak, could you please shoot me an email using the contact form on wpaudio.com?

    Thanks.

    Done ??

    Hi Todd,

    I’m trying to use the WPAudio plugin with the Composito theme from DesignDisease.com, but the play button appears greyed out in the posts. The plugin works fine with other themes I’ve tried, so there might be something missing from the Composito theme which WPAudio requires to function correctly? Can you check out that theme or let me know which theme functions are a pre-requisite before installing the plugin?

    Thanks,
    Clem

    Clem, broken themes are most commonly missing wp_head() and/or wp_footer(). If that’s not it, post a test link and I’ll have a look.

    Todd, thanks for your lightning fast reply!

    The theme had wp_head() but was missing wp_footer(). Since adding it to footer.php, the awesome WPAudio plugin has worked perfectly!

    Todd – any more news on when the wrapper will be available to call the plugin from a sidebar?

    Thanks!

    Hi Todd,

    Big ups for the plugin, really love it. But i just cant get it to work ?? Did try to email you using your contact box on your site, but no response so not sure if you got it. I have the same errors as sliptide above has. Im not sure what you mean though by inserting code into the wp_head(). Could you break it down? I use the one theme if thats any help?

    Thanks.

    Hi Todd,
    We emailed 2 weeks ago about 1.5.2 not working on some of my wordpress sites. The status: wp-audio does not work with most of the themes I downloaded and tried.

    You say adding wp_head() and/or wp_footer() should solve the issue. But is there some documentation available about how to wp_head() and/or wp_footer()? I’m an experienced programmer myself but have no php WordPress experience. Could you point us in the right direction? Thanks.

    Hi Todd,
    Some additional information. I have tested wp-audio 1.4.0 and 1.5.2 with FireFox on Windows and Safari on my Mac: this works with most themes.

    IE7 however does not work with most of the themes I tried, even after adding wp_head() and/or wp_footer(). Theme K2 1.0-RC7 seems to work though, also with IE7. I even had a theme where 1.4.0 did work with IE7 but not with wp-audio 1.5.2.

    I have not tested IE8 yet because IE7 is still the dominating browser. Hope this info is of some value.

    Hi Todd,

    Worked out of the box, I inserted the cose into a sidebar text widget and off it ran. What I would love is for the music to play continuously as I move from page tp page rather than stopping and starting as I change pages…..any chance

    all the best
    Steve
