I’ve set WPBook on a test blog running WordPress 3.0.1
The install (auto install) went fine, but I can’t manage to save the settings. I’m just sent back to the original setting page.

Anyone encountered this ? any ideas how to solve this ?

Do you get an error message such as “settings not saved?” The only thing I can think of is you need to fill out all required settings before hitting save or you’ll be sent back. I recommend setting up your Facebook app first then you have your API key and secret key. If you’re not talking about the settings in the dashboard let me know. Also more infomation on this would also be great.

I had the same problem, no message, just appears back in the same page

@guyn and @anaguzik – what version of WPBook is installed?

Are you entering your Facebook API key, Secret, and Canvas Page URL before trying to submit the settings page?

Just to be clear, the settings page you’re on is:
    <wpurl>/wp-admin/options-general.php?page=wpbook.php

And that’s the same page you get redirected to after submitting?

Are you both running WordPress 3.0.1?

@bandonrandon – no, I get no message at all.
@johneckman – I’m running WP 3.01 and yes that is the correct page. I reinstalled my WordPress and the problem solved itself, but I have no idea what caused the problem.

@guyn, when you reinstalled WordPress did you use the same database or create a new one? I’m wondering if the problem is with initially setting the database settings.I also wonder if reinstalling the plugin and deleting the database options for WPBook would have fixed this without a clean install. Glad you got it worked out though ??
