[Plugin: WPBook] Not able to get comments to pull in

Something is definitely set up wrong, from looking at the app this morning.

What have you set as your “Canvas URL” in the Facebook settings for your application, in the “Web Site” settings?

It looks to me like you have your Canvas Callback URL set to “https://bakanode.com/?feed=rss2” – when it should be just “https://bakanode.com/”

It was to my understanding that the canvas page URL was just what Facebook displayed in the app window. Both of which my RSS feed and my normal webpage look terrible in since FB won’t fix their resize issues.

That aside I’ve changed the canvas URL to https://bakanode.com as you have suggested and I still get the same result.

I’ve also included screenshots of all my current settings on my WPBook setting pane and the FB panel just to hopefully save time.

Not sure what’s happening here but your canvas url should definitely be https://bakanode.com/

WPBook is designed to intercept requests from FB servers for the iframe and respond with it’s own theme rather than the one installed in your blog – this isn’t happening in your case, though I don’t know why at this point. (The resizing fails because the javascript is in the replacement theme which is not loading).

On the “Facebook Integration” section you need to set it to auto-resize, not scrollbars (but that isn’t the real issue here).

Are you running other plugins, or an unusual .htaccess file?

Until the basic app view works none of the other stuff is likely to work.

In the “Developer Advanced” section you’ve got some unusual settings – some of the “migrations” settings are enabled that I would expect to be disabled.

But something deeper is wrong – when I look at the frame info for the iFrame FB is loading, it looks like this:

Which doesn’t contain the fb_sig_in_iframe code it should to trigger the theme substitution.

Try disabling other plugins and/or setting the “migrations” to disabled in the advanced section of the settings.

Thanks again for taking the time to try and figure this out for me or anyone else having these issues. After removing and reinstalling my plugins and making the changes in the advanced section I’m now getting the app view you was expecting.

I went ahead and PDF’ed the only other 2 plugins I have on my WordPress just in case you know of certain bugs they might have with WPBook or something might pop out at you.

WP-FB Auto Connect

I’m using a normal WordPress approved theme called Graphene with no custom changes.

I don’t know WP-FB Auto Connect, but that is highly likely to have overlaps with WPBook which may not be kosher.

We’re both claiming a FB API key associated with your domain – I don’t know that will cause problems but that would be my guess.
