When I get to this place in the detailed in structions, I do not have the options to set the users or facebook pages.

“Set the Tab Name to something that represents your blog. In the tab url section, put: ?app_tab=true&fb_force_mode=fbml. Check both “Users” and “Facebook Pages” if you intend to make any use of the functions associated with Pages, or just “Users” if you only want users to be able to add to profile. (If in doubt, check both).”

Moving on, when I get to the next section of instruction it says:
“In your WPBook settings in WordPress, under the “Socialize Options” section, ensure that you’ve checked the “Enable Facebook users to add your app to their profile” checkbox.”

I do not have any “Socialize options” section.

I am not having success with the install. Having skipped over these sections, I get various errors when I try to complete the install.

Yep you do ?? So you’re in your WordPress Dashboard > Settings > WPBook and when you scroll down you’ll see Customize Facebook Application View: and little further down there goes Socialize Options:

Now you need also few other things that are needed for this plugin to work and that’s Facebook API. Once logged in with your usual FB account, they will give you long line of numbers and letters, that’s so called API key you will need for plugin to operate.

Thanks t-p and emil for helping, but I am still having problems. t-p I think I am way past the issues on your guide, and Emil – you are right – found Socialize options – my oversight.
But I think my problem lies in the inability to set the users and facebook pages options on the first page of the instructions. On the facebook side, these boxes simply do not exist.

I have all my Api Keys and my infinite session key, but I cannot Add the page – I get this error.: see screen shots

Did you type in both a (profileID) and a (Page ID) in the WPBook settings?

What happens when you click on the “grant permissions for your userid” link on this page: https://www.studiogblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/Picture-215.png

What are you trying to add the profile tab to? Facebook has stopped supporting application tabs on user profiles.

Finally, what version of WPBook are you running?
