This is why you should test all plugin updates before doing them on production.

    Are you on WordPress 3.0.4?

    Have you tested WPBook 2.1.2?

    Hey John…

will try that now. I think that when you released the update it said compatible up to 3.1. I assumed that it wasn’t version specific.

    my apologies… great product.

I had thought 2.1.1 would work with WordPress 2.9 through 3.1, but some users (one in particular on WordPress 3.0.1) have had issues I could not track down.

I know that the blog I do the most testing on is 3.1 and I work most on compatibility there, then work on earlier versions after that.

Hi there… no joy. I removed the application and now I do not get prompted for permissions when I try to re-add it.

I did not see an option for infinite sessions, etc.

The permissions link given to me is:
    https://apps.facebook.com/hairwego_comments/?is_permissions=true&wp_user=1

    Does that work for you?

@mykkal John responded in another post but I’ll repeat it here, Have you tried 2.1.2 seems to solve the problem for some.

As mentioned, you will have to re-grant permissions.

    ^^^ heya…

again after deleting the app permissions and trying to readd it… I could not.

When I try to add the app via the check permissions link nothing happens. You can try yourself.

Hey johneckman version 2.1.2 is not for 3.1 wordpress ? If not why relase it as an update? First 2.1 (2.1.1-2) the application didn’t show “share this” and ” Add comment” now your application hit the db when I press publish for a new post, so I must press back wait and again publish. Next time if you are not sure what is going to happen is better snow that the version is BETA before someone have bigger problems. Please I like to have a link with version 2.0 to download it. Thanks by the way and bravo for your effort to make it better.

Since WP went to 3.1, WPBook never worked, even if upgraded to 2.1.2.

When I try to check permissions, I got an error:

    https://www.facebook.com/dialog/oauth?client_id=4f5364ad9bbb7142d41c515ff6168114&redirect_uri=http%3A%2F%2Fapps.facebook.com%2Fasapreta%2F

When posting some weird messages returns, sometimes with the contents of the post and, if i′m not wrong, last time with an error:

Warning: fopen() [function.fopen]: Filename cannot be empty in /home1/lavosbrc/public_html/asapreta/wp-content/plugins/wpbook/includes/publish_to_facebook.php on line 40

Yikes… i’m going to upgrade to 3.1 before I give John anymore headaches.

    Appreciate you and Bandon.

@greekspy Yes, version 2.1.2 is for version 3.1 of WordPress. Some users have reported problems with WPBook 2.1 on WordPress 3.0.1.

I did release 2 betas over the course of a week – the problem is no one actually tests the betas, they just show up to complain when the new version is released. ??

You are always welcome to download any previous version of WPBook from this page:
    https://www.ads-software.com/extend/plugins/wpbook/download/

(This is true of any plugin the WordPress repository – it’s the “other versions” link on the plugin page).

What’s the url of your FB application? Are you able to successfully display the canvas page? (apps.facebook.com/appname)?

    asapreta

    (@asapreta)

    The page is this: https://apps.facebook.com/blogfbshare/

And I can see the posts there, but they are not published to the wall.

Looking at that page now, it looks like WPBook is either not enabled or not setup properly – should be substituting the WPBook version of the theme for your regular theme.

Loading https://www.asapreta.com/?signed_request=1 should also trigger WPBook – but maybe you’ve disabled it momentarily?

    asapreta

    (@asapreta)

Yes, I′ve disabled because, every post I was doing give me an error and it wasn’t going even to the blog itself.

    I′ll reenable for testing, ok?

I′ve reenabled and can see the posts on it. https://www.asapreta.com/?signed_request=1 also works, but everytime I try to post on my blog, I got this error:

No post id returned from Facebook, $fb_response was /n and $fb_page_type was and $wpbook_description was another test and $my_title was just another test

And I′ve just upgraded to 2.1.3
